Our Solutions
I have 17 years weed killing experience and have successfully eradicated various types of invasive weeds in particular Japanese Knotweed mainly in the Dunoon and surrounding area. I am fully NPTC qualified and certified. I understand how Japanese Knotweed can affect your property and land and we aim to control and remove the weed efficiently and effectively.
Herbicide Spraying
Herbicide spraying is a very effective method in the fight against Japanese Knotweed, although it can take up to 4 years to fully eradicate the problem weed.
The herbicide is applied to both the top and underside of the leaf where it is absorbed by the plant and taken down into the root system.

Stem Injection
Stem Injection involves the injecting of a concentrate of glyphosate herbicide into each cane of the weed using a specially designed stem injection gun. This method is particularly useful in areas that are environmentally sensitive or near water. The injection method is the most effective against plant regrowth and poses limited threat to neighbouring vegetation. Stem injection applications deliver herbicide directly into the hollow cane of the weed and are made in the lower portion in the first few internodes above the ground level. This delivers the herbicide directly into the plant above the root crown; this dramatically increases translocation of the herbicide throughout the plants root structure. Unlike traditional herbicidal treatment methods which are applied to the surface of the leaves of the plant, stem injection is not weather dependant – during wet weather injectional treatment can still be carried out but conventional spraying cannot.
